✨ What is “Sugary”?

The term describes a special crystal structure where the amethyst is crystallized not just once, but twice. On an already existing crystal surface, countless microscopic points grow, creating a velvety-sparkling appearance. This double crystallization is a rare geological phenomenon that can only form under very stable conditions over extremely long periods.

🎨 Unique Color

The gentle old pink-purple tone of this piece is not treated but purely natural. It arises when the classic violet amethyst crystals are softened in color by fine hematite or goethite inclusions. The result is a warm, romantic color gradient – a middle tone between rose and lavender, found only in a few locations such as Artigas, Uruguay.
