Artigas Uruguay

Artigas is located about an eight-hour drive north of the capital Montevideo, Uruguay, on the border with Brazil.
A special highlight of my trip was the visit to the huge amethyst twins. These majestic crystals are so large that a hall had to be built specifically to house them. Each twin is six meters tall and weighs 24,000 kilograms. The price for both together amounts to an impressive 1.18 million USD. These gigantic crystals are a true natural wonder!

Equally impressive was the huge amethyst jewelry box that I also discovered in Artigas.
