Peru

In May 2024, I traveled to Peru to meet local businesses and traders specializing in mineral trade. I was particularly interested in the diverse forms of pyrite, as it is my favorite stone.

During my trip, I visited several traders who offered an impressive selection of pyrite in various formations and sizes. Pyrite occurs in a variety of shapes, including cubes, dodecahedrons, and impressive combinations with other minerals such as quartz. These unique combinations, where pyrite crystals grow alongside transparent quartz crystals, create fascinating contrasts and are true natural wonders.

Some traders invited me to visit their workshops, where I could experience the stone processing firsthand. These personal encounters and insights into the craft made my trip especially valuable. It was fascinating to see how much care and passion goes into creating the pyrite pieces.

After my return, I included the carefully selected pyrite spheres from Peru in my shop. These unique stones are now available to my customers who appreciate the beauty and quality of these special minerals.
