🌍 Formation & Duration

Pink lithium quartz is a rare variety of the quartz group, which gains its gentle pink to violet hue through the incorporation of lithium ions during the crystallization process. Over millions of years, transparent quartz crystals slowly form in hydrothermal rock cavities. Phantoms can form during this process – delicate growth structures that remain visible inside the crystal and document its development in several growth phases.

Phantoms arise when suspended particles or mineral grains settle on the surface during crystal growth. Afterwards, crystallization continues and encloses these layers. This fascinating phenomenon makes each crystal unique and shows the complex, natural development over geological time spans.
